Path raking a big success!

Thanks to all those enthusiastic people with smiles and rakes who turned out Saturday afternoon to clear leaves from the trails around McKay Lake and the Pond. 

It has been ages since the trails looked so good. 

More than 20 people showed up and the job was finished in just over an hour. 

Marilyn Venner supplied hot chocolate and sweets while we finished the afternoon at the swimming area overlooking the Pond. 

An energetic group of young men even dismantled a teepee-like
structure built around a tree and used the poles to mark trail edges.
